Currently with GTI, Lisa researches emerging energy efficient technologies including fuel cells, microCHP, heat recovery, phase change materials, and advanced HVAC systems. She previously worked as an Energy Efficiency Engineer with Proctor Engineering Group, Lisa provides engineering support and leadership for energy efficiency research studies, the design and implementation of energy efficiency programs for gas and electric utility companies, and the development of energy efficient products and services.
Lisa has over 25 years of experience performing energy audits, retro-commissioning, and monitoring and modeling of residential, commercial, industrial buildings and energy systems, and evaluating efficiency program results. She is also knowledgeable about the use of cool roofing, cool pavements, and trees & vegetation to mitigate heat islands and reduce energy use. Lisa is the author of various papers and articles, and the book Heat Islands, Understanding and Mitigating Heat in Urban Areas.
Lisa holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington, a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University.
