Michael has 14 years of progressive experience in energy engineering and utility energy efficiency program implementation. He started his career in energy efficiency at the DOE Industrial Assessment Center, joining TRC/Lockheed Martin in 2011 in support of California’s utility energy efficiency programs. The bulk of his experience has been in developing custom energy efficiency projects within the Commercial and Industrial sector, resulting in roughly 40 GWh of installed annual energy saving. He is experienced in technical energy auditing, measure analysis, development and execution of measurement and verification (M&V) plans, and CPUC policy adherence. In his current role at Willdan, Michael oversees a team of engineers, providing technical and policy guidance in the delivery of California third-party energy efficiency programs for PG&E and SCE. He is a primary engineering point of contact for Willdan’s utility clients and is responsible for the internal final quality review and submission of complex deemed, custom, and meter-based projects.
Michael has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from San Francisco State University. He is a California licensed Professional Engineer and an AEE Certified Energy Manager.
