Paolo has 15 years of experience in the energy engineering and utility energy efficiency program field. He currently leads the QC&C team at PG&E which includes the engineering teams that support the deemed, custom, and meter-based energy efficiency platforms. He began his career as an engineer for the Boeing Company in the Pacific Northwest after completing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and then returned to California to pursue graduate studies and research in Building Science. He has worked as a program implementer, technical reviewer, and evaluator and previously worked in the PG&E QC&C custom team for six years where he provided technical oversight and policy guidance. His focus has been primarily in developing and reviewing custom projects in the non-residential sectors but has recently supported third party programs with substantial deemed activities.
